Would Obama have prosecuted him?

An octogenarian took positive steps to protect himself and his wife from a violent home invader.  He did what was necessary to protect his life and the life of his loved ones by shooting an armed thug who broke into his home. The Army veteran had been robbed previously, and the piece of shit that broke into his home had a history of drug and weapons convictions.  Oh… and he shot first.

Unfortunately, this incident happened in Chicago, where the only people who can use a gun are police, security shitbags who protect Dick Daley at taxpayer expense, even as he works to disarm the very people who pay to protect his worthless hide, and criminal thugs.

Would Obama have prosecuted this hero for taking a piece of festering shit off the streets for good – something that police haven’t been able to do?

Yeah.  Probably.

“As an Illinois State Senator, Barack Obama voted not once, but twice in opposition to Senate Bill 2165,” recalled Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

The so-called “Hale DeMar Act” – named for a Wilmette, IL resident who shot a burglar with a handgun, a violation of Wilmette’s handgun ban- was passed in March 2004 on a 38-20 vote. Obama was one of the senators voting against the measure. After disgraced former Gov. Rod Blagojevich vetoed the bill, the Senate voted to override the veto on Nov. 9 by a vote of 40-18. Again, Obama was one of the opponents.

It always appalls me to see politicians who take their own safety for granted because the very people who put them in office fund their ARMED security work to unilaterally make those same people vulnerable to armed thugs!  They live at taxpayer expense, sucking on the public trough for decades, they have armed security, live in gated communities and never worry about the security of their loved ones.  Their safety is funded by the very same people whom they try to disarm!

And if one of those people dares defend their lives and their loved ones despite the politicians’ best efforts, they’re prosecuted! They waste countless resources and nerves defending themselves against assaults on their very lives! First, by the armed street thugs, and then by the self-righteous, power-hungry politician thugs?

This is justice?

By what standard?

Britain to Greece

Please, just go away.

THE Greek government has been advised by British economists to leave the euro and default on its €300 billion (£255 billion) debt to save its economy.

The Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), a London-based consultancy, has warned Greek ministers they will be unable to escape their debt trap without devaluing their own currency to boost exports. The only way this can happen is if Greece returns to its own currency.

Greek politicians have played down the prospect of abandoning the euro, which could lead to the break-up of the single currency.

Speaking from Athens yesterday, Doug McWilliams, chief executive of the CEBR, said: “Leaving the euro would mean the new currency will fall by a minimum of 15%. But as the national debt is valued in euros, this would raise the debt from its current level of 120% of GDP to 140% overnight.

Their debt level would skyrocket, lenders would stop lending to them, they’d have no money, and MAYBE then they’d be forced into some degree of fiscal responsibility!  Maybe.

Lending more money to Greece to help them pay off their debts is like giving Jack Daniels to an alcoholic, hoping that this last drink will help stave off the shakes. Greece is an addict. Stop giving them money, and force them into some degree of fiscal responsibility!

Devaluing their currency and leaving the Euro means default. It means German and French banks are hugely at risk, and there’s a massive change of contagion.

But really, what other option do they have?  Handing them more cash is obviously not going to do any good.

This is what we need in office

Please!  Someone clone NJ Governor Christie and send him to the White House!

Could you please, for once, practice some journalistic standards of integrity and objectivity, instead of feeding your drooling viewers the usual, tainted pabulum that appears extracted from your collective asses after a particularly rancid meal of rotten eggs and month-old oysters?

Yes, I mean YOU, Dylan Ratigan!  You appear completely incapable of not only objective, but rational thought, as demonstrated by your condemnation of Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell’s decision to keep biased, politically tainted, hysterical gun safety banning agenda out of Virginia’s classrooms.

Apparently Ratigan was pissing his frilly panties over the decision to keep the National Crime Prevention Council’s (NCPC) histrionics about gun safety out of our schools.  This is the kind of indoctrination Ratigan would like to see Virginia’s children undergo.

Objective

  • To
explore the impact on society when a person dies prematurely from gun
    violence
  • To develop research and critical-thinking skills

Activity

  • Discuss with students the dangers of guns.
Review what they should do if they find a gun.
  • Share
with them that when people die from being shot, they can no longer do
good things for their families or for society.
  • Assign
students to groups of four or five, and have them select a
historical figure who was killed by gun violence.
    Possibilities
include Martin Luther King, Jr.; John F. Kennedy; Abraham Lincoln; and
Mahatma Gandhi. Have each group research the person they chose and list
the positive contributions he or she made to society.
  • Ask
students to predict how these individuals might have continued their
work if they hadn’t been killed by gun violence.
  • Have
each group present a biography of the individual they researched and
their ideas of what the individual could have done if he or she had
    not died from gun violence.
  • Have each member of
the group write a diary entry that takes place five years after the
person died and shares what the person could have done if the person
had lived. The students may choose to write the entry from the point of
view of the individual or of a third party who had been influenced by
the individual’s work (e.g., someone who heard Martin Luther King, Jr.
    give a speech).
  • Extend this into a service project by
having students design a memorial for people killed by gun violence.
They may choose to plant a tree or design a peace quilt to display in
    the school’s lobby.

Wow… there’s a difference.  And even police officers deem the NRA’s gun safety program very effective.

That, of course, doesn’t matter to Ratigan, whose primary mission is not the education of children about gun safety, but rather the indoctrination and brainwashing of our children into hysterical hatred of a tool, a leftard political agenda and an avoidance of personal responsibility.

Really, (P)MSNBC!  Could you please put on your big girl panties and stop with the quivering vagina ache because some big, bad Republican has derailed your political goals!

It’s getting old.  I’m not even sure anyone actually considers you a real news source any longer!

Nicholas Kristof is going to a reeducation camp pronto!  Writing in the New York Times?   This?

There’s an ugly secret of global poverty, one rarely acknowledged by aid groups or U.N. reports. It’s a blunt truth that is politically incorrect, heartbreaking, frustrating and ubiquitous:

It’s that if the poorest families spent as much money educating their children as they do on wine, cigarettes and prostitutes, their children’s prospects would be transformed. Much suffering is caused not only by low incomes, but also by shortsighted private spending decisions by heads of households.

Doesn’t he know that all people living in poverty are righteous, abused, long-suffering at the hands of their more successful oppressors, magnanimous, kind, and virtuous?

Doesn’t he know that it’s not their fault that they can’t afford to educate their children? Doesn’t he know that they’re not responsible for the decisions they make, but rather are the product of generations of abuse and are entitled to yet more resources from “the rich” countries?

After all, their rent is $6 per month, and they must pay $2.50 monthly for their kids to go to school!  That’s a LOT!  It’s HAAAAARD!  Especially, since they live in poverty and have thus far popped out 8 kids!

Lady, it’s a vagina, not a clown car!

“It’s hard to get the money to send the kids to school,” Mr. Obamza explained, a bit embarrassed.

But Mr. Obamza and his wife, Valerie, do have cellphones and say they spend a combined $10 a month on call time.

In addition, Mr. Obamza goes drinking several times a week at a village bar, spending about $1 an evening on moonshine. By his calculation, that adds up to about $12 a month — almost as much as the family rent and school fees combined.

And the Obamzas aren’t the only ones choosing booze over their children’s education.

“If possible, I drink every day,” Fulbert Mfouna, a 43-year-old whose children have also had to drop out or repeat grades for lack of school fees, said forthrightly. His eldest son, Jude, is still in first grade after repeating for five years because of nonpayment of fees. Meanwhile,Mr. Mfouna acknowledged spending $2 a day on alcohol and cigarettes.

There’s your inconvenient truth, folks.  I applaud Kristof for bringing it to light and addressing an uncomfortable topic that will no doubt give the righteous redistributionists an Obama-sized wedgie!

These people are largely responsible for keeping themselves ignorant and miserable. By making booze, and not their children a priority… by breeding like rabid rats… they keep themselves in the dark ages, as the self righteous who claim we don’t do enough to help the third world, wallow in their unctuousness and demand we assuage their consciences by shelling out more bucks for them to redistribute.

Now, off to the reeducation camps with you, Sir Nicholas!
