As a human being, I'm repulsed by what people do in the name of religion. I know quite a few very decent people of faith. These assholes can't even be classified as humans. Blind, sick, twisted, repulsive, frothing animals who hide behind their faith and claim righteousness, even as they degrade, insult and frighten others.
The only difference between these drooling, frothing zealots and their Taliban counterparts is that they haven't gained enough power to start stoning women to death for provocative dress yet.

As far as Pat Robertson, he has gone the way of Oral Roberts. Very sad.

When I got back from being stationed in Germany, the Phelps lunatics were just beginning to be well known. We discussed them on my morning show once, and I went and did a little research on their site. I got physically sick!

I am amazed at the restraint shown by the Patriot Guard Riders as they shield the families of our Fallen Heroes from these scum.
I did see one video where there was a VERY narrow avoidance of a battle. Van windows were busted out. Justice was almost served.

The sad thing is... I actually had to sit through a "Diversity" lecture in the mid-90's given by a Commander in the USN. This white devil stood on stage and told us we were racists if we were white and had money in our pockets right that minute. Cuz black people couldn't walk around with money in THEIR pockets on account of they didn't have any money, and couldn't get any money because of slavery, Jim Crow laws, Bull Conner and whatnot. And he was TOTALLY not even goofin'. Of course, me being a sailor then, and it being a couple of days before payday...I was most definately NOT a racist!

Its always appreciated when you take a verse of scripture totally out of context and use it to bludgeon someone into the little box you think God wants them in. I seem to recall some guy dying a couple thousand years ago to put an end to all this crap. Something about a cross and an empty tomb....oh yeah. THAT WAS ME!! That's not true. Their mentality is the same. Their methods are different. And you can't tell me that the assholes in this story wouldn't impose their morality on others by government force if they had the opportunity!
I stated below that the only difference between them is that the Taliban kill. But their mentality is quite identical - that women dressing "sinfully" tempts men, and that men are unable to control themselves and are driven to sin. It's a repugnant attitude! Has nothing to do with Christianity (which has quite a bloody history itself), but with those bastards who hijack it for their insanity.
