Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner says the U.S. government "will never" lose its sterling credit rating despite big budget deficits and a newly increased debt limit that now tops $14 trillion.Geithner says in an interview broadcast Sunday that in times of economic crisis, international investors will continue to buy U.S. Treasury bonds because the bonds are a safe investment.
Moody's Investors Service recently issued a warning that the government's credit rating could eventually be in jeopardy if nation's finances don't improve. The cost of borrowing would increase significantly if the ratings service lowered the credit rating, also known as a bond rating, for U.S.Treasuries.

Prospective client (Mealer of Mealer Companies LLC) is a registered and licensed alternative fuels provider and automaker in Arizona. With a highly respected team of internationally known, skilled automobile oriented members as the business and vehicle development Team, Mealer was under various VC and other funding group and private money tentative contracts for $200M (all or part) in funding capital to begin final R&D and MFG automobiles and electronics.
Mealer's information website of “betterconstructed.com” was replaced with “mealercompanies.com” in May 2009 as an interim website for investors, future customers, employees and future employees and other interested parties to keep track of progress of funding and for additional investment and investor Due Diligence. Several tentative contracts exist and multiple interested parties have maintained contact with Mealer regarding funding this venture in whole or in part. Interest slowed 95% when the GM/GMAC posts were made.
June 9th, 2009 a GM-GMAC employee by and through connections with GMAC and GM employees 1,2,3 who were simultaneously visiting “mealercompanies.com”, signed into the blog area which was created for investors as “MONEY01” and proceeded to destroy and blacken Mealer through libelous attacks.
Following this attack, Mealer demanded an apology and was refused one while the GM engineer employee1 continued to send disparaging emails to a variety of Mealer Companies future customers and/or employees and/or private and/or public investors referring to Mealer as a fraud.
GM employee1 finally issued a complete admission of the attack in an apology letter stating that he and his fellow employees were concerned for their jobs and pensions. GM employee2 is a professional blogger for GM PR group. GMAC employee3 identity is still unknown, but the location of access is generalized from the IP address and search.
Other than the written apology/admission of defamation, Mealer has all IP addresses and registered in company ISP locations from which the attacks occurred in Detroit along with the legal connection of GM and GMAC and associated employees as conspired parties and as one entity.
The actions of this attack resulted in Mealer not gathering funding which was pending Due Diligence thus thwarted by the libelous conspiracy, losing all credibility and future sales. This interference with prospective investments totally destroyed Mealer and Mealer Companies LLC and has sent Mealer to declare Ch 7 bankruptcy as GMAC attempts to foreclose on and vacate Mealer's House further causing Mealer to be without means to maintain Mealer Companies LLC and the automaker business of which a suffering GM would compete for business. This was explained in the GM Employee's apology.
Last Note:
Mealer does not have the funds to pay for multiple 'attorney consultations', nor to pay up front for legal fees (Please see reasons above).

For a federal BK judge to tell me my case has merit but I need a lawyer, or GM-GMAC will crush me, during my BK proceedings is huge. (which were done only because I need to save my home and stall for an attny)

Timmy must think the basic laws of economics don't apply to the U.S. Nevermind what's happening in the UK & Greece, he'll ignore it because we're the big, bad USA.
It's the old "It can't happen here, this is a nice neighborhood" claim that always follows the "it" in question happening.
