I am SO sick and tired of idiots airing their oh-so-fragile widdle feelings of persecution for the whole world to snivel at! Worse yet, I'm sick and tired of religious crazies attempting to gain special privileges because of their faith, and force others to stroke and pet them, because they're oh-so-special and victimized. Enter this asshat.
And really... an irrational fear of a tree -- a REGULAR tree - AN EVERGREEN (at least until it's decorated Pagan style for a Christian holiday of a religous figure who wasn't even born in December) -- does not deserve special consideration or treatment. So if you make a stupid request that draws attention to your complete lack of couth... in other words, if you act like a festering douchebag, expect to be treated as such.
A West Valley City truck driver is suing Frito-Lay Inc. because he says the company retaliated against him after he requested not to deliver Christmas trees, saying it made him feel uncomfortable because of his Jewish faith.The company is in the business of making money. This particular douchenozzle decided his petty little feelings of religious discomfort merely because he's exposed to other people's faith are more important than the purpose for which his employer hired him: to help the company make a profit. Aside from the fact that feeling "uncomfortable" by merely being exposed to a bunch of evergreens is just monumentally stupid and requires some serious couch time with a head shrinker, it's certainly not the employer's duty to bow down to every whim of every oversensitive would-be victim.Richard Cleaveland is seeking damages of at least $100,000.
Cleaveland says he complained in December 2004 and was denied his religious accommodation request.
The complaint contends that since making his request, Cleaveland has been subject to insults, jokes and been forced to observe other Christian traditions. It also says he's been given worse shifts, been denied jobs he'd gotten in the past and had difficulty securing wages.

Wouldn't all the company's customers then be able to sue because they were exposed to a deliveryman of the Jewish faith for the delivery of their Christian symbol of faith? Perhaps they should also sue the driver?

I remember Mr. and Mrs. Schwartz, when I was very small and lived in the projects in McKeesport, Pa. They were very old. They were very sweet. They were Jewish. They used to invite me into their home every day to have raisin bread. I loved it, but we couldn't afford a lot of food back then. So it was a real treat.
I also remember them wishing me a Merry Christmas every year we lived there, even though they didn't observe Christmas. They were always very gracious in accepting my paltry Christmas gifts, even though they didn't practice Christianity nor did they observe the holiday.
I loved them, they loved me. They would be ashamed of this horse's ass who has no respect for himself, his religion, or humanity.

I just remembered something else. Do you remember after the Columbine murders that a man set up a memorial shrine on his private property and prayer site for the murdered children and teachers?
I do. I also remember the assholes who raised all billy hell because he placed a cross with each name of the murdered. They were incensed because some of the victims were Jewish and should have had a Star of David. Fuck them and the horses they rode in on.
What is wrong with these assholes that they couldn't have accepted that this man was asking his God to care for these victims? He wasn't Jewish, I doubt that he knew who of the victims was. What the Hell did they find wrong with his prayers that they be cared for in the afterlife? People like this are not good people, I don't care how many robes of religion they wrap around themselves.
Did I mention fuck them and the horses they rode in on?
